Florida Pompano is a valuable commercial and recreational species.  It’s caught off Florida’s Gulf coast with gill nets, seine nets and hook-and-line methods.  Pompano’s firm, rich, buttery and medium-full characteristics are ideal for grilling, roasting or frying.
